Bible versus Quran : 1000+ Differences & Contradictions

The Quran: Its Divergence from the Bible

SURAH 1: Al-Fatihah (The Opening)

Mecca ca. 610 - 614 AD.

001 1/1: "- - - Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful!" If you read the Quran, and especially the surahs from Medina, you will find that Allah is very far from being gracious, not to mention merciful, except to a degree towards Muslims. There is no doubt that Yahweh - especially as you meet him in the New Covenant (= NT - f.x. Luke 22/20) by far is more merciful. Allah is a typical war god, and a harsh one - this in spite of lots of glorious words. Just read the surahs from Medina (they also are the youngest, and thus the weightiest ones according to Islam's rules for abrogation - making verses and points invalid if two or more contradicts each other), and you will see it yourself.

Especially according to NT Yahweh is both more gracious and more merciful than Allah is according to the Quran.

Just to mention it: The Quran tells Allah has 99 names, and these are 2 of them, the names generally are descriptions in superlative - Most Kind, Most Merciful, Most High, Most Kind, Most Gracious, etc., but also names like f.x. Oft Forgiving, etc.

Please read the surahs from Medina once more - omit the cheap, glorifying words and judge from his acts, demands, introduced moral and judicial rules, etc. How many of the names does he really deserve? Also see 16/78 below.

002 1/2a: "Praise be to Allah - - -". Please read the surahs from Medina - skip the cheap, glorifying words dictators normally use about themselves, and judge from the far more reliable deeds, demands, introduced codes of conduct, codes of moral, etc. (When there are discrepancies between nice words and reality, we always believe in the reality.) Do you find he deserves praise? - - - if he exists? (And if he does not exist, there is absolutely no reason for praise.)

003 1/2b: "- - - Allah the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds (plural and wrong - See 26/16 and 65/12b below*) - - -". According to the Bible, this is Yahweh's job (and most religions have at least one god looking after such things).

004 1/2c: "- - - the Worlds - - -". But there are no 7 worlds like the Quran claims - see 26/16 and 65/12b below.

005 1/3: "(Allah is*) Most Gracious, Most Merciful - - -". Compare Muhammad's teaching in Medina, included moral codes, behavior towards non-Muslims, rules for behavior in war and for dishonesty/looting, raping, etc., etc. - compare this to the teaching of Jesus, and see if Yahweh may be Even More Merciful than a god of discrimination, apartheid, rape, hate and war. (Actually anybody with some education and ability to think himself, who are able to read the Quran's/Allah's moral, ethical, and judicial codes, and then with a straight face declare that Allah is the Most Merciful one, deserves an Oscar.)

Just to mention it: The Quran tells Allah has 99 names, and these are some of them, the names generally are descriptions in superlative - Most Kind, Most Merciful, Most High, Most Kind, Most Gracious, etc., but also names like f.x. Oft Forgiving, etc.

Please read the surahs from Medina - omit the cheap, glorifying words and judge from his acts, demands, introduced moral and judicial rules, etc. How many of the names does he really deserve?

006 1/4: "(Allah is*) Master of the Day of Judgment". According to the Bible it is Yahweh who is master of that day. Is the Bible or the Quran correct here? - if not both are wrong?. The Quran has the handicap that it contains so many mistakes, contradictions, etc. that it needs additional proves for most of it’s seldom if ever proved claims, to be believed by a rational brain. (We comment on just some of these many totally obvious disagreements between the Bible and the Quran. Also beware that the fact that we do not comment on something, does not mean that it does not merit a comment - the point only is too obvious or repeated too often, or we have overlooked it, though central points we repeat rather often. And just to mention it: According to the Bible Yahweh is the true one (and in other religions other gods - and one should here remember that Islam has no more proof for Allah than other religions have for their pagan god(s) (and strong believers in other religions are as sure that their god(s) is/are real, as Muslims are about Allah - but we may mention that if the old books tell the truth about this, there are proofs for the old Jewish/Christian god (and for Jesus' supernatural nature), but for Allah no proof exists, as the claimed "proofs" for Allah without exception are built on other not proved claims only (it also is striking that the Quran demands strong proofs from all opponents and from other religions - and thus state that proofs are valuable and necessary and meaningful - but never gives logically valid proofs itself - Muhammad even avoids and explains away all requests for real proofs, even requests from followers).

Another point: As Muhammad for one thing clearly lies in the Quran (f.x. by saying that miracles will make no-one believe anyhow, and that this was the reason why Allah did not make any miracles), and in addition accepts the use of dishonesty and even broken oaths (2/225a, 5/89a, 16/91b, 66/2a), the Quran needs extra strong - and many - proofs to be believed - anything not really proved may be one of Muhammad's permitted lies. Therefore remember: Al-Taqiyya (the lawful lie) and Kitman (the lawful half-truth) is not only permitted by Islam, but advised to use "if necessary" to promote or defend "the Religion of Truth", and as Muhammad could use deceit and even broken oaths, it is morally ok to do so and thus of course any Muslim can do the same. But serious: To use and use and use invalid claims and "signs" and "proofs" and arguments, invalid logic, etc. makes one wonder, because such argumentation is a smelly affair, as the use of only such arguments not backed by at least some proved or provable facts, normally is the hallmark of the cheater and the deceiver.

As a "brother" of al-Takiyya and Kitman, etc., we should also mention the tradition for "Hilah": A "device to stop, hinder, or trick - - -. Strategm to avoid or circumvent legal prinsiples or rigid constructs. - - - utilized - - - to solve contradictions between (political powers, cultural choises, etc*) and Quranic principles". (The Oxford Dictionary of Islam). In plain words: ways/tricks of seemingly or formally being honest or correct, while in reality being dishonest or incorrect. It seems that this aspect of "the religion of truth" was first campained of the Hanifi law school, but later utilized also by the other 3 Muslim law schools. "Hilah" is dishonesty in disguice. True honesty is not always central in Islam and among Islam's religious and moral forefront.

And: Like Muhammad it is normal for Muslims in debates to throw never documented or in other ways proved claims around, and then claim/pretend they are valid arguments. Just there and then it may be difficult to disprove such claims - and they "win" the debate. Do not be cheated by such traps - whenever they try this method (and they use it often), demand that they prove their claim or statement (or dismiss what they claim). As there exist no proofs for any of the central religious claims in Islam, and hardly even for the less central ones, they will not be able to prove anything - except perhaps by means of fast talk or new not proved claims, if you are not sharp enough to see through such things.

Also see 45/13a below.

Thought provoking: "What is claimed without a proof, can be dismissed without a proof". Also remember: "A strong claim needs a strong proof", "Big words are too cheap to prove anything without a proof", and "A proof is one or more proved facts which can give only one conclusion". And: "The Quran is so full of errors, etc. and at least some lies, and Muhammad's view on dishonesty as a working tool so clear, that the Quran's words are not proofs without additional documentation". Also note that Muhammad all too often "forgot" - and Muslims "forget" - that "perhaps a possibility", "a possibility", "a probability", "likely", "a fact", "a proof", etc. are different words with different meanings, and consequently call possibilities they like, facts or proofs - just keep your eyes and ears open, and see how often this is the case. (Muhammad never gave a valid proof for any of his central religious claims. Never. And the "Signs" (read "proof") and "proofs" he often claimed, without exception are invalid, because he never first proved that it really was Allah who was behind the phenomena Muhammad claimed proved Allah or anything else central in his religion.)

007 1/5: "Thee (Allah*)do we (Muslims*) worship and Thine aid do we seek". The Bible tells you should contact Yahweh instead, and indirectly, but very clearly also tells that Allah is a false god, introduced by a false, self proclaimed prophet. As all the mistakes, contradictions, etc. in the Quran prove that the book is not from any god - an omniscient god does not make errors - the Bible may be right in that Allah is a made up god, and that there is no use in asking him for aid or help. (Before Muhammad took him over, Allah after all just was the pagan Arab main god al-Lah (also sometimes named Allah even before Muhammad took him over) - earlier al-Ilah, the moon god (Allah still has the crescent moon for his symbol), and even earlier Il - whom Muhammad dressed up, declared that he was not a main god, but the only god, and wrongly also declared that Allah was the same god as the old Jewish and Christian god, Yahweh, just under another name. The many and very fundamental differences between the teachings of the two gods prove that they are not the same god (if they had been, the teachings and other aspects had been much more similar or identical) - not unless the god is strongly schizophrenic. Muhammad tried to explain the problem away by claiming - like normal for him without the slightest proof or documentation - that the reason was that the Bible was falsified. We therefore remind you that both science and Islam - Islam much against their wish and intention - strongly have proved with strong empirical and circumstantial proofs, that this claim is wrong, by being unable to find even one provable mistake in the many thousand (some 44ooo) relevant manuscripts and fragments older than 610 AD - some mistakes (though by far fewer than in the Quran - Muslims often claim there are a hundred mistakes in the Bible, in the Quran there may be unbelievable some 3ooo errors included details and repetitions), but not one proved falsification - and as the Bible is written by humans, well, humans might get details wrong, but not so with an omniscient god like Muhammad claimed was the one behind his book, the Quran. The brutal reality is that mistakes in the Quran prove it is not from a god, but a made up book, and Muhammad thus a false prophet, and Islam a false religion - - - and Allah extremely likely a false god - the probability for that he exists is infinitesimal.

The small curiosum here: As Islam claims each prophet/messenger got a copy similar to the Quran, and as Hadiths tells there were 124ooo prophets/messengers through the times and all over the world, there must have been at least 124ooo copies of the Quran around, plus all the copies written from these ones. No-one knows how many copies there ever existed of the Bible older than 610 AD, but far fewer - mainly because they were 4-5 times as big as the Quran, and thus 4-5 times as expensive - handwritten books naturally were very expensive - and no 124ooo free copies from the god like the Quran. All the same there exist some 12ooo manuscripts (mostly of parts of the book) or fragments from the Bible + some 32ooo manuscripts or fragments with references to or quotes from texts in the Bible. For a comparison there does not exist even one fragment or one reference or one quote from the Quran in the entire world older than 610, AD when Muhammad started his new religion.

Believe in the claim about the Quran being a book older than 610 AD (really a little later) if you are able to.

The conclusion: If the Quran is not from a god, the religion is a made up one, and it is no idea to worship or to seek aid in a made up religion.

008 1/6: "Show us (Muslims*) the straight way". In the Quran the road to Paradise is the straight - the easy - road. In NT the wide and easy road leads to Hell, and only the narrow - difficult - road to Paradise. One of the many indications for that Yahweh and Allah are not the same god - if they had been, the road to Paradise had been the same.

Also remember the other enormous and very fundamental differences between the Paradises of the Bible and of the Quran and how to get there - some of the really strong proofs for that Yahweh and Allah are not the same god.

009 1/7a: "The way of those - - - who go not astray". A book so full of mistakes, contradictions, etc. that no god can have been involved in it, is not a good compass for a religion or for its members. If the old books tell the truth, Yahweh and also Jesus proved both their existence and supernatural power. Allah and Muhammad till now have proved exactly nothing concerning central - or peripheral - essential points in their religion. There exist claimed "signs" and "proofs", but they all have this in common that for one thing they just are loose claims any believer in any religion can claim for his/her god, and for another thing they all without exception are logically invalid as signs, not to mention proofs, because in not one case it is proved that it really is Allah who is behind the phenomenon or whatever which is claimed to be a sign or a proof. In a way worse: To use and use and use invalid claims and "signs" and "proofs" and arguments, invalid logic, etc. makes one wonder, because such argumentation is a smelly affair, as the use of only such arguments not backed by at least some proved or provable facts, normally is the hallmark of the cheater and the deceiver.

There f.x. is not even any proof for that the best of Muslims - included harsh warriors, who are the very best Muslims and guaranteed fast acceptance to and the best place, Firdaws, in Allah's Paradise - are not astray. This even if there should happen to be a next life and a benevolent god to be found ruling that life. (But see the sinister 34/50a below.)

(Again: Muhammad never gave a valid proof for any of his central religious claims. Never. And the "Signs" (read "proof") and "proofs" he often claimed, without exception are invalid, because he never first proved that it really was Allah who was behind the phenomena Muhammad claimed proved Allah or anything else central in his religion.)

In addition: When Muslims claim or state things, demand proofs (or dismiss what they claim or state) - Muslims have no valid proof for any central point in their entire religion.

Also see 45/13a below.

010 1/7b: "- - - astray - - -". But who are most astray? - the ones debating from a book choke full of errors, contradictions, and worse? - or the ones able to see at least some of the mistakes, etc. in that book, and able to understand what it means about Muhammad, about the Quran, and about Islam?

011 1/7c: "- - - Thy (Allah's*) Grace - - -". See 2/37c below.
