Muhammad in the Quran, Vol. 3: Chapter 50

MUHAMMAD - THE ENFORCER

As soon as he gained the power to do so, Muhammad stopped being a guide, and became an enforcer. The message to his victims often was: "Become Muslim or fight us and die - and see your women and children becoming slaves". Yes, really the message from a claimed "good and benevolent god.

The Quran itself does not have too many clear and direct samples on Muhammad forcing non-Muslims to become Muslims, but read Hadiths, and you will find them - and read the history of Islam, and you will find plenty of later Muslim leaders forcing conversion to Islam, partly directly by brutal force, and partly by indirect methods (also used by Muhammad): "Become Muslim and you do not have to pay the extra tax, Jizya", "Become Muslim and it is possible for you to get higher and/or leading jobs", "Become Muslim and do not be a 2. or 3. class member of the society", "Become Muslim and you are safe from persecution and pogroms in hard times", "Become Muslim, and you can come along on raids or in wars and become rich from 'lawful and good' stealing", etc., etc.

A few samples. But remember that the points and chapters about how to treat non-Muslims, about incitement to war, apartheid, and suppression, etc, also are samples of Muhammad the enforcer. The same goes for parts of the Quran's and Islam's moral code. Thus "Muhammad the Enforcer" is a much more serious point than this very small chaper indicates.

001 5/92f: "- - - it is Our (Allah's*) Messenger's (Muhammad's*) duty to proclaim (the Message) in the clearest manner". No doubt - at this time (632 AD) Muhammad had long since started to "proclaim" it by the means of weapons and murder."

002 10/41c: "- - - I (Muhammad, am free form responsibility*) for what ye (non-Muslims*) do". This was in 621 AD. Later when Muhammad gained more power he "forgot" this, and forced people to become Muslims: Believe, or fight us and die, or milder forms for pressure - or bribes and the promise of riches from loot.

003 10/99d: “Wilt thou (Muhammad*) then compel mankind, against their will, to believe!”

Of course he would as soon as he was military strong enough! - lots of people during his time and later were forced to become Muslims. This peaceful verse from Mecca 621 AD soon was abrogated! This verse is abrogated – made invalid - by at least these verses: 2/191, 2/193, 3/38, 3/85, 3/148, 4/90, 5/33, 5/72, 8/12, 8/38, 8/38-39 (the warning), 8/39, 8/60, 9/3, 9/5, 9/14, 9/23, 9/29, 9/33, 9/73, 9/123, 25/36, 25/52, 33/61, 33/73, 35/36, 47/4, 66/9. This includes many bloody threats, but also verses advising or permitting political, social, economical, etc. compulsion (with the sword in the background if you protest) – we mention a few here: 3/28, 3/85, 3/148, 4/81, 5/72, 5/73, 9/23, 14/7, 15/3, 33/73, 35/36. They are all quoted under 2/256. (At least 28 abrogations).

004 15/3b: “Leave them (the disbelievers*) alone, to enjoy (the good things of this life) and to please themselves - - -.” This was in 621 AD. It did not take long before Allah needed to change and contradict his word, when he started to change his rather peaceful religion to one of inhumanity and blood (luckily many Muslims do not live according to those parts if the Quran). This verse is contradicted – made invalid - and often “killed” (abrogated) by at least these verses: 2/191, 2/193, 3/28, 3/85, 3/148, 4/81, 4/90, 5/33, 5/72, 5/73, 8/12, 8/38-39 (the warning), 8/39, 8/60, 9/3, 9/5, 9/14, 9/23, 9/29, 9/33, 9/73, 9/123, 25/36, 25/52, 33/61, 33/73, 35/36, 47/4, 66/9. This includes many advising or permitting political, social, economical, etc. compulsion (with the sword in the background if you protest) – we mention a few here: 3/28, 3/85, 3/148, 4/81, 5/72, 5/73, 9/23, 14/7, 15/3, 33/73, 35/36. They are all quoted under 2/256. (At least 29 contradictions).

005 33/45g: "(Muhammad was*) a Warner - - -". At this time (625-629 AD) Muhammad no longer was only a warner - he had started also to become an enforcer, and much of Arabia and the rest of the Muslim area was made Muslim by means of the sword or by milder pressures backed by the sword.

006 48/25f: "- - - Allah would (in case*) have allowed you (Muhammad*) to force your way - - -". The plain military reality was that Muhammad was not strong enough to force his way into Mecca this time - at least not without huge losses.

007 110/2: "And thou dost see the People enter Allah's Religion in crowds - - -". The book forgets(?) to mention that in 632 AD when this surah was made, Muhammad no longer was only a preacher, but also an enforcer: Become Muslim and get rich from plunder and have women or girls to rape, or fight us and die - to be a bit blunt. Much of the present Muslim areas - included most of Arabia - were won by "money and sword" directly or indirectly.
