1000+ Comments on the Quran: Surah 69 -- Al-Haqqah (The Sure Reality)
20 June 2012
Revelation: Mecca, 618 - 619 AD
(See general comments on Surahs here: Introduction)
The quotes and comments
001 "In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful". Please read the surahs from Medina, the immoral parts of the Muslim moral code, the unjust/immoral parts of sharia, and the Quran's rules for lying, thieving/looting, enslaving, raids and wars, plus the rules for treatment of girls and women - free and captured - and see if you agree. Always when there is a distance between words and corresponding demands and deeds, we personally believe in the demands and deeds. Glorious words are cheap, demands and deeds are reliable. Glorifying words and claims are too cheap for anyone to use and disuse - when you read, judge from realities, not from propaganda.
002 69/1: "The Sure Reality". Here is intended the Quran and Islam. But like so much propaganda in all aspects of life - and in the Quran - also this claim is not true, as too much is wrong in that book.
003 69/2. "What is the Sure Reality?" At least not the Quran and/or Allah. See 69/1 just above.
004 69/3a: "And what will make thee (non-Muslim*) realize what the Sure Reality is?" Reliable information about it, plus at least one proof - not just big, undocumented claims in a book with so many mistakes as in the Quran - a book which itself by means of f. x. those mistakes proves 100% or more that it is not from any god.
005 69/3b: "- - - the Sure Reality - - -". See 69/1 above.
006 69/4: "The Thamud and the 'Ad People - - -". 2 tribes from old Arab folklore. They may have existed or they may have not, but if they did it is very little likely their ends came in those ways and for the reasons the Quran claims - as usual without any documentation. If they existed, Muslim scholars mean 'Ad was the oldest and lived in the south of Arabia, whereas the Thamud was a somewhat young tribe who lived in the mountains in the northern part of Arabia - north of Medina.
007 69/5a: “But the Thamud – they were destroyed by a terrible Storm of thunder and lightning.” But:
7/78: “So the earthquake took them unawares, and they lay prostrate in their homes in the morning.” For a good measure: In “The Message of the Quran” – and for all we know also in other translations – this mistake simply is falsified when translating 69/5 and just a tiny reference to a comment with the correct text another place in the big book. They write (translated from Swedish): “The people of Thamud were buried by an earthquake”. Then 69/5 is in accordance with 7/78 – even though in the Arab scripture is said they were destroyed by a storm. We may add that the book is permitted printed by Al-Ahzar Al-Sharif Islamic Research Academy, Cairo – one of the 2-3 foremost universities in all Islam.
Should there be honesty in a religion?
But then Islam have al-Taqiyya (the lawful lie) and “Kitman” (the lawful half-truth) – and are ordered to use it if necessary to defend or promote Islam (and permitted to do it in other cases like cheating women and securing money – the last at least according to Ibn Ishaq and Al-Bukhari.)
When to trust Muslims and when not in serious cases?
11/67: “The (mighty) Blast overtook the wrongdoers (the people of Thamud*), and they lay prostrate in their homes in the morning - - -.” A blast is not a wind, but something from f.x. an explosion.
(2 - 5 contradictions.)
To make a complete overview: In 7/78, and 50/44 they were destroyed by an earthquake, in 11/67 and 54/31 by a mighty blast (these two are not compatible, as earthquakes do not give blasts - they are produced by totally different mechanisms). In 26/158 they were destroyed by "the penalty of a great day" - which tells nothing. And in 69/5 by a terrible storm - which also is not compatible with neither an earthquake nor a blast (a blast comes from an explosion or something). We also point to that thunder and lightning also do not follow earthquakes.
008 69/5b: “But the Thamud - - -". A historical anomaly.
009 69/6: "- - - 'Ad - - -". See 69/4 above. A historical anomaly.
010 69/7: “He (Allah*) made it (the storm that destroyed Ad*) rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession - - -.”
54/19: “For We (Allah*) sent against them (the people of Ad*) a furious wind, on a Day of violent Disaster.” Here it is one day:
011 69/8a: "Then seest thou (people*) any of them (the 'Ad people*) left surviving?" At least at the time of Muhammad - hundreds of years later if the 'Ad had ever existed - no survivors were known. An easy "proof" for Muhammad.
012 69/8b: "Then seest thou (people*) any of them (the 'Ad people*) left surviving?" It often is said that Yahweh before the New Covenant (f.x. 22/20) was a harsh god. But count the killings by Allah in the Quran, and you will find Yahweh just was an amateur in the killing business - this even more so as had Muhammad's claim that Yahweh = Allah been correct, Allah had had the "honor" of Yahweh's killings + all his own killings. There also are two more essential differences: Yahweh made the wars to make space for his small nation, Israel - and over a limited time. Allah(?) wants to suppress all the world. And: Yahweh's wars were things which happened thousands of years ago - the last was in 70 AD (and Yahweh hardly was involved in that one). Whereas Allah made war in the past, makes war now, and even officially intends to make war in all future until all the world is suppressed "and pay zakat ("infidel"-tax) with willing submission" to quote the Quran.
013 69/9a: "- - - Pharaoh (Ramses II) - - -". The only pharaoh mentioned in the Quran, are the two connected to Moses - one just mentioned in connection with the baby Moses being saved from the Nile, and the one connected to the Exodus all the other times. The one connected to the Exodus according to science, is Ramses II. As we know Ramses did not drown, Islam tries to claim that the Exodus was much, earlier, under pharaohs we do not know how died. But for one thing numbers, etc. do not add up with an early Exodus, and for another science is little in doubt, and states pretty surely that if it ever happened, it happened around 1235 BC, which means under Ramses II (see f.x. Encyclopedia Britannica).
014 69/9b: "- - - Pharaoh (Ramses II) - - -". A historical anomaly in the Quran.
015 69/9c: "- - - the Cities overthrown - - -". Sodom and Gomorrah. 2 historical anomalies if they ever existed.
016 69/9d: "- - - Sin - - -". Beware that when the Quran uses words like this, it is in accordance with its own partly immoral moral code. We also may mention that just this word often covers very different deeds, acts, words, and thoughts in the Quran and Islam, than in more normal religions (Islam is a religion of war - in spite of its loud slogans), not to mention how much its meaning in the Quran often differs from the basic of all human moral; "do against others like you want others do against you". Read the surahs from Medina and weep.
One small remark: As Yahweh's religion and f.x. moral code at many points are totally different from Allah's, you may qualify for Yahweh's Paradise even if Muslims condemn you to Hell - if both exist. One more of the 100% proofs for that Yahweh and Allah are not the same god.
017 69/9+10: “And Pharaoh, and those before him - - - (Allah*) punished them with an abundant Penalty.” The Quran tells that this penalty for the pharaoh was drowning, but Ramses II did not drown. Neither did he die until several years after the possible exodus, according to science.
018 69/10a: "And disobeyed (each) the messenger of their Lord (Allah*); so He punished them with an abundant Penalty". Learn by the parallel: This happened to people disobeying claimed earlier messengers, and it will/may happen you too, if you disobey the claimed messenger Muhammad. Muhammad made most of the claimed or real prophets mentioned in the Quran, to parallels to his own situation in life. In this way he for one thing "documented" that his problems were normal problems for prophets, and for another that he thus was a normal prophet.
019 69/10b: "- - - an abundant Penalty". See 3/77b above.
020 69/11a: "We (Allah*) - - - carried you (mankind), it the floating (Ark)". Contradicted by the Bible, which says that the involved god was Yahweh, not Allah. Also see 67/9c above - a strong one. But of course it is ok for Islam to prove - prove - the Bible wrong and the Quran right. But as we say: Prove, not just loose claims and as loose and invalid words like the Quran always use instead of proofs.
021 69/11b: "- - - (Noah's Flood) - - -". A historical anomaly.
022 69/12: "That We (Allah*) might make it (the survival of the humans in the Ark*) a Message - - -". It is no message from Allah if the involved god was Yahweh - and even more so if Allah did not exist.
023 69/13: "- - - then one blast is sounded on the Trumpet - - -". = The Day of Doom.
024 69/15a: "On that Day - - -". The Day of Doom.
025 69/15b: "- - - the (Great) Event - - -". The judgment.
026 69/16a: “And the sky will be rent asunder - - -”. How do you rip asunder vacuum and open space?
027 69/16b: "- - - that Day - - -". The Day of Doom.
028 69/17a: (A69/11): “And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, the Day (of Doom*) bear the throne of thy lord (Allah*) above them.” But if Allah is something diffuse that is everywhere, how can he use a throne? – and how can just 8 angles carry it if he is that huge? (Not our questions - Muslim scholars'.*) Islam still does not know. On the other hand: You can be absolutely sure the Muslims to whom this was told originally – naïve and uneducated and wanting to believe – believed this was an exact picture. Clear language?
029 69/17b: "- - - that Day - - -". The Day of Doom.
030 69/18a: "That Day - - -". The Day of Doom.
031 69/18b: "- - - not an act of yours (peoples'*) that ye hide will be hidden". See 2/233h above.
032 69/19a: "- - - his (Muslim's*) Record - - -". But why does an omniscient, predestining god need to keep a record?
033 69/19b: "- - - in his (Muslim's*) right hand - - -". In the old pagan Arabia the right hand was reckoned to be the good or lucky one (and the left the bad or unlucky one). According to several places in the Quran, included here, the superstition is the same in Heaven. There are 3 possible explanations for this:
It is a coincidence.
The old pagan Arabia has got the idea from Heaven.
Haven - or at least Muhammad - has got the idea from the old Arabia.
034 69/21: "And he (a Muslim*) will be in a life in Bliss (in Heaven*) - - -". If Islam is a true religion and if the Quran tells the full truth and only the truth. Also see 10/9f above.
035 69/22: "- - - in a Garden on high - - -". The Quran's and Islam's Paradise - see 10/9f above.
036 69/23: "The Fruits whereof (Paradise*) (will hang in bunches) low and near". The Quran's and Islam's Paradise is similar to a poor and naive desert warrior's dream about the luxury life of a king on Earth. One of the reasons why Muhammad needed resurrection in body - when the pleasures are bodily ones, you cannot enjoy them without a body. Also see 10/9f above.
037 69/24a: "Eat ye (Muslims in Paradise*) and drink ye - - -". See 10/9e and 6923 above.
038 69/24b: "- - - the (good) that ye (Muslims*) sent before you - - -". = The good deeds you did in this life.
039 69/24c: "- - - (good) - - -". Beware that when the Quran uses words like this, it is in accordance with its own partly immoral moral code.
040 69/25a: "- - - his (Muslim's*) Record - - -". But why does an omniscient, predestining god need to keep a record?
041 69/25b: "- - - in his (Muslim's*) left hand - - -". See 69/19b above.
042 69/25c: “And he (the sinner*) will be given his Record in his left hand (on the Day of Doom) - - -.” But:
84/10: “But he who is given his Record behind his back - - -.” (We do not count this one as a contradiction, because it is possible to say he held his left hand behind his back - unlikely but possible.)
043 69/25-33: A "sulfur" preaching for non-Muslims, but more essential a pep-talk for his followers explaining(?) how badly the bad ones not believing in Muhammad would fare. "One's own success is good, but another's bad luck is not too bad either" - at least it often helps one's spirit.
044 69/30-32: “Size ye him (the sinner*), and bind ye him, and burn ye him in the Blazing Fire. Further, make him march in a chain, the length of which is seventy cubits! (= 32 m*)”. A long and heavy chain makes the situation if possible even worse.
045 69/31: "- - - the Blazing Fire". Hell.
046 69/33a: "This was he (who was punished in Hell*) that would not believe in Allah Most High". The underlying meaning: People who do not believe in me, Muhammad, end in Hell.
047 69/33b: "- - - Allah Most High - - -". Often claimed, never proved. It also is impossible if Allah does not exist or if he exists but is not a top god. (If he f. x. is something from the dark forces pretending to be a god, like parts of the Quran and parts of its moral code may indicate).
048 69/33c: "- - - Allah Most High - - -". Contradicted by the Bible, which says Yahweh is most high, not Allah. Also see 67/9c above - a strong one. But of course it is ok for Islam to prove - prove - the Bible wrong and the Quran right. But as we say: Prove, not just loose claims and as loose and invalid words like the Quran always use instead of proofs.
049 69/34: "- - - feed the indigent - - -". This pops up here and there in the Quran, and it is one of its - sorry to say so - pitifully few, good sides. But the good moral point is marred by two facts: The main thing is not to help someone, but to gain merit in heaven, and you get as much merit from helping your nearest, as from helping strangers - and then strangers easily end up low down on the priority list. (For f.x. Christians it does not give merit to help one's nearest - that is a matter of course and a duty).
050 69/35: "- - - this Day". The Day of Doom.
051 69/36a: “Nor hat he (the sinner in Hell*) any food except the corruption from washing wounds.” A pertinent question: How and with what do you wash wounds – and how do fried wounds excrete corruption - in Hell? But that aside:
37/66: “- - - they (the “infidels” in Hell*) will eat thereof (the disgusting fruits of the zaqqum tree in Hell*) and fill their bellies therewith.” About zaqqum tree also see 44/43 and 56/52-54 above
88/6: “No food will there be for them (the “infidels” in Hell*) but a bitter dari (a dry bush with needles*) - - -.”
052 69/36b: (A69/20): “Nor hath he (the sinner in Hell*) any food except the corruption from the washing of wounds (‘ghislin’)”. The problem is that once more there is an Arab word nobody understands, or have ever understood; “ghislin”. (Razi: "I do not know what 'ghislin' means".) What meaning an interpreter puts into that word, is just guesswork about something detestable. Very clear language!
053 69/37a: "- - - those in sin". One of Muhammad's many negative names for non-Muslims, but here included also bad Muslims.
054 69/37b: "- - - sin". See 69/9c above.
055 69/38: "So do I (Allah*) call to witness - - -". This is a question never answered in the Quran: Why does an omniscient god need witnesses?
056 69/40a: "- - - verily - - -". See f. ex. 61/4a above.
057 69/40b: "- - - an honored messenger (Muhammad*) - - -". At least honored by his followers - but the honor is only justified if the Quran is from a god and he in addition told the truth, the full truth, and only the truth. And even in that case his honor is tarnishes by his immoral in several aspects of life and of his brutality.
058 69/40c: "- - - messenger (Muhammad*) - - -". See 63/5a above.
059 69/40d: "- - - messenger (Muhammad*) - - -". A historical anomaly.
060 69/41: "This (the Quran*) is not the word of a poet - - -". Muhammad claimed he was not a poet - most likely true - and that he thus could not have made up the Quran; an invalid argument to use an understatement. You f.x. do not have to be a poet to make prose. Also Mr. H. C. Andersen was not a poet, but he made a lot of fairy tales - and good ones.
061 69/42: "Nor is it (the Quran*) the word of soothsayer - - -". One more never proved claim from Muhammad - and a suspicion he met from his surroundings. As the Quran is not from a god, the suspicion may well be at least partly correct.
062 69/43a: “(This (the Quran*) is) a Message sent down from the Lord (Allah*) of the Worlds.” Must be wrong. See 13/2g and 40/75 above. No omniscient god makes or revere or forward in his own name a book with so much wrong.
063 69/43b: "- - - a Message - - -". But is it really a message? And in case from whom. as a text with so much wrong, is from no god?
064 69/43c: “- - - the Worlds - - -.” But the 7 worlds of Muhammad do not exist. See 65/12b above.
065 69/44a: "- - - the Messenger (Muhammad*) - - -". See 63/5a above.
066 69/44b: "- - - the Messenger (Muhammad*) - - -". A historical anomaly.
#067 69/44–46: “And if the Messenger (Muhammad*) were to invent any sayings in our name, We (Allah*) should certainly size him by his right hand, and We should certainly then cut off the artery of his heart”. Not if you – Allah – does not exist. Nor if you are far from omnipotent if you exist. Not to mention if you are from the dark forces, but pretending to be a god - Muhammad would not have a chance to see the difference.
068 69/45: "- - - certainly - - -". See 2/2b above.
069 69/46: "- - - certainly - - -". See 2/2b above.
070 69/47: "Nor could any of you (Muslims*) withhold him (Muhammad*) (from Our (Allah's*) wrath (if Muhammad invented anything about the religion*)". Wrong if Allah does not exist - in that case it is a very easy task.
071 69/48a: "But, verily, this is a Message for the God-fearing". Perhaps, but in case from whom, as no god was involved?
072 69/48b: "- - - verily - - -". See f. x. 2/2b and 61/4a above.
073 69/49: "- - - certainly - - -". See f. x. 2/2b and 61/4a above.
**074 69/50a: “But truly (Revelation (of the Quran*) is a cause of sorrow for the Unbelievers”. True, but for other reasons than the Quran indicates: Because of all the war and blood and terror Islam has represented through the ages - and the answer is NOT that also other religions have caused wars, etc. as that does not make a hate, rape, suppression, robbery and blood religion like Islam one single iota better – and in most other religions it is done in spite of the real religion, not because of. (CSPI informs that it has been calculated that through the times some 270 million non-Muslims have been killed because of Islam. Of these are some 120 millions from Africa (all the many millions of slaves brought out of Africa are not included).). And because many felt pity for souls going lost in a religion built on a book where something is seriously wrong. (May be their own religion(s) also were wrong, but all the mistaken facts, etc., in a book pretending to be from an omniscient god, proves that in Islam there really is something that is wrong - and it makes one doubt very strongly that it really is a divine revelation).
Actually Islam is the only one of the big religions that directly proves itself – by means of their holy book – that it is something seriously wrong with the holy book and thus with the religion.
075 69/50b: "- - - truly - - -". See f. ex. 61/4a above.
076 69/50c: "- - - (Revelation) - - -". Is the Quran really revelation? - and in case from whom, as all the mistakes, etc. in the book proves it is not from any god?
077 69/50d: "- - - Unbelievers". Non-Muslims.
078 69/51a: “But, verily; it (the Quran*) is Truth of assured certainty“. Wrong - too many mistakes, etc. - - - but words are cheap. For similar claims also see 2/109 – 2/147 – 5/48 – 5/75 – 6/73 – 8/7 – 9/30 – 9/33 - 9/48 – 9/60 – 10/2 – 10/32 – 10/34 – 13/1 - 21/18 - 10/35 – 10/36 – 10/94 – 11/17 – 14/22 - 17/81 - 17/105 – 21/109 – 22/54 – 23/71 – 28/3 – 28/53 – 32/3 – 33/4 – 34/6 – 34/49 – 36/70 – 37/21 – 37/52 -40/62 - 40/75 – 41/12 - 41/41 – 41/53 – 42/18 – 42/24 – 43/29 – 43/87 – 46/16 - 46/30 – 46/34 – 47/2 – 47/3 – 50/19 – 56/57 – 56/92 – 57/16 – 67/21 - 73/11 – 85/19 – 92/16 – 103/3.
Besides: Have you ever noticed that the one who most needs to boast – loudly and frequently – about how truthful he is, is the cheater and the swindler, and the one boasting about his knowledge is the medium to rather ok, but not top intelligent and educated one? – the really honest and the really knowledgeable persons never need to boast about those things. Real honesty and real intelligence and knowledge make itself felt after some time of close connection – if there is a need for boasting, something is wrong.
Remember also Hitler's Nazi Minister for Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels: “If you tell a lie often enough, people starts believing it is true.” (There are many similarities between the ideology of the Nazi - and all Fascism - and the ideology of Islam).
079 69/51b: "- - - verily - - -". See f.x. 2/2b, 13/1g, 40/75 and 61/4a above.
080 69/51c: "- - - it (the Quran*) is the Truth - - -". With all its mistakes, etc., the Quran at best is partly true.
081 69/51d: "- - - Truth - - -". See f.x. 13/1g, 40/75 and 61/4a above.
082 69/51e: "- - - assured - - -". See 2/2b above.
083 69/51f: "- - - certainty - - -". See 2/2b above.
#084 69/51g: (YA5673): "All Truth is in itself certain". Correct, but only if it really is a truth, not a claim pretended to be a proved or self evident truth, like you often find in the Quran and other places in Islam and in debate with Muslims.
085 69/52a: "So glorify the name of thy (Muslims'*) Lord (Allah*) Most High". See 1/1a - is he worth glorification - - - if he exists?
086 69/52b: "- - - (Allah*) Most High". Often claimed, never proved. Actually exactly nothing of any essence is ever proved about Allah, not even his existence.
087 69/52c: "- - - (Allah*) Most High". Contradicted by the Bible, which says that Yahweh is most high, not Allah (Allah and his claimed prophets are not even mentioned in the Bible, except the ones Muhammad "borrowed" from there". Also see 67/9c above - a strong one. But of course it is ok for Islam to prove - prove - the Bible wrong and the Quran right. But as we say: Prove, not just loose claims and as loose and invalid words like the Quran always use instead of proofs.
####088 69/52d: (YA5674): "- - - Allah has given us (man*) his absolute Truth through his Revelations - - -". This is the reason why Muslims and Islam can admit no mistake in the Quran, no matter how obvious it is - a mistake will prove that things are wrong in Allah's "absolute Truth". And this also is why the myriad of mistaken facts and other errors in the Quran proves 110% and more that something is seriously wrong with the Quran and that it is not from a god - no omniscient god makes mistakes.
