1000+ Claims in the Quran - Invalid Unless Proven, Surah 30
18 May 2014
SURAH 30: Ar-Rum (The Romans)
(Medina, 615-616 AD)
001 "In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful". Please read the surahs from Medina, the immoral parts of the Muslim moral code, the unjust/immoral parts of sharia, and the Quran's rules for lying, thieving/looting, enslaving, raids and wars, plus the rules for treatment of girls and women - free and captives - and see if you agree. Always when there is a distance between words and corresponding demands and deeds, we personally believe in the demands and deeds. Glorious words are cheap, demands and deeds are reliable. Glorifying words and claims are too cheap for anyone to use and disuse - when you read, judge from realities, not from propaganda.
#002 30/2-4: “The (East*) Roman Empire (Bezants/Constantinople*) has been defeated (by Persia*) in a land close by (battles: Damascus 613 AD, Jerusalem 614 AD, Egypt 615-616 AD – may be a battle in Syria in 615 AD – just pick your choice (the surah is from 615 or 616 AD)); but they, (even) after (this) defeat of theirs will soon be victorious – Within a few (“bid” - an Arab word meaning between 3 and 9) years.” Bezants defeated Persia in 628 AD after they first had had a number of defeats at the start of the war - 12 or 15 years after this verse.
1. The Arab word “bid” means “a few” with the additional meaning “means a number of no less than 3, no more than 9” according to comment 2 to this surah in “The Message of the Quran” (A20/2). It took at least 12 years.
2. This was a pep-talk to his followers. No-one – not even Muhammad himself – said that it was a prophesy - - - except that many Muslims say so afterwards.
3. It is very clear from the Quran that Muhammad did not have the gift of being able to make prophesies (a kind of miracles), and it is as clear that he never even pretended to or claimed to have that gift. This was just one of the (few) cases where a little of all that he said through his life happened to come partly true (actually: So much that he said and spoke it is a miracle that not more happened to come true – and more true than in this case. And NB: This is the only heavy claim Islam has about him being able to make prophesies (though there are other claims) during 23 years. The sheer laws of probability should have made him right a lot more often, but then he had little of creative fantasy. Once - nearly - in a lifetime = a prophet? As much as he talked and said, he from pure statistical probability should have had a number - not to say quite a number - of "hits", but he had few (and no full hit).
This is one of Muslims' strongest - if not the strongest - claims for that Muhammad made foretelling. Not a very convincing case (but then Islam as such does not claim Muhammad was able of foretelling: "The only miracle connected to Muhammad, was the Quran", is a sentence you often meet - foretelling is a kind of miracle; "to see the unseen".)
003 30/4c: "With Allah is the decision, in the Past and in the Future - - -". Often claimed, never proved - and may be f.x. Yahweh wants a word - if he exists (if the old books tell the truth, there are some indications for his existence - there are none for Allah's (only claims)).
004 30/5b: "He (Allah*) helps whom he wills - - -" - and consequently not whom he not wills. No comment necessary. Except f.x. that your destination - Hell or Paradise - is decided for you before you are born, predestined by Allah, and if he has destined you for Hell, you get no help (this according to Hadiths).
005 30/5c: "- - - He (Allah*) is exalted in Might - - -". He in case never has proved his might.
006 30/5d: "- - - He (Allah*) is Most Merciful". Please read the surahs from Medina, the black parts of the Islamic moral code, and the most unjust laws in sharia, and see if you agree.
007 30/6a: "(It is) the promise of Allah". There never was a proved case of Allah promising anybody anything. Lots of claims, but never a proved case. The best proof for this? Islam's silence about such a case.
008 30/6b: "Never does Allah depart from his promise - - -". If he exists that may be true - but are his promises in case correctly referred in the Quran - a book where so much is wrong? We may also remark that there in all history has not been documented one single proved case of Allah giving or keeping a promise.
If Allah does not exist, he of course never depart from anything.
009 30/6c: "- - - most men understand not". Perhaps that is just what they do - understand that a book full of errors and worse, is not from a god.
010 30/7b: "They (non-Muslims at the time of Muhammad*) know but the outer (things) in the life in this world - - -". One of Muhammad's many ways of explaining away why many did not believe in his new religion.
011 30/8c: "- - - for a term appointed - - -". Predestination - which many Muslims claims do not really exist or is not really real predestination, because if Allah predestines the life of humans, it is most unjust and immoral to punish man for what sins he makes. But there is no doubt about full predestination in the Quran - it is stressed many times, and more in the Medina than in the Mecca period - in Medina Muhammad needed warriors not too reluctant to fight and to die.
###012 30/8d: "- - - for a term appointed, did Allah create the heavens (plural and wrong*) and the earth, and all between them - - -". Natural phenomena where Muhammad like so often without any proofs or debate claims the honor of creation for his god. One may say he only was telling about it. But when all there is is tales, nothing - nothing - is proved in spite of many requests, and in spite of even Muhammad telling proofs had been simple for Allah "if he wished", and when a lot even is clearly wrong, an "explanation" like "he only is telling about things", is not acceptable any more. Somewhere a teller of tales crosses the line between telling about things and bluffing. Muhammad clearly is bluffing - was bluffing about central points in his religion through 23 years.
013 30/8f: "- - - truly - - -". Definitely not a proved truth - only a not proved claim. See 2/2b above.
014 30/9a: "Do they not travel throughout the earth, and see what was the End of those before them?" This is a theme which is repeated many times in the Quran. In and around Arabia there were ruins and deserted buildings and villagers and some towns - and there were tales about former people now gone. Muhammad claimed they all were result if Allah's punishments for sins. Science disagrees, as there are other possible explanations. Islam will have to prove their never documented claims, if they want to make science believe what they say. It seems like Muhammad is bluffing.
015 30/9c: "- - - there came to them (former tribes*) their messengers - - -". The Quran claims that every people and culture and nation through all times have got prophets teaching Islam - Hadiths mentions the number 124ooo, and even that may just be a symbolic small number. Neither science nor Islam has ever found any kind of traces from any of them older than 610 AD (the year Muhammad started his mission).
Wrong unless Islam proves - proves - differently.
016 30/9d: “- - - Clear (Signs) - - -“. Clear signs about Allah and Islam do not exist in the Quran - or any other place. The reason is that the Quran NEVER proved that it really was/is Allah who caused/causes the phenomenons the book claims are signs or proofs for him, and then the claimed conclusion/sign/proof is totally invalid. One may wonder why Muhammad used invalid claims and “signs” and even “proofs” – invalid proofs and arguments normally are the hallmarks of cheats, deceivers, and swindlers. It also indicates, shows, and proves lack of real facts and proofs. “Clear Signs” in “Quran-speak” = clear proof. Clear proofs for Allah, or for the Quran being made by a god, or for Muhammad’s connection to a god, but such proofs simply do not exist. Islam is aware of it and Muslim scholars are aware of it – you find it mentioned and tried explained away in their books, but learned books not much read by the private Muslim. And when the scholars and imams and others do not tell them, the lay Muslim often honestly believes everything really is sure and safe – they simply are cheated by the withholding of inconvenient facts and by the glorification of all the invalid “signs” and “clear signs” and even “proofs” in the Quran, not to mention by the ones in Hadiths and by the “miracles” in the Hadiths – which hardly a single imam clearly tells his flock are absolutely proved by the Quran to be untrue legends (Islam indirectly admits this fact by their statement that “the only miracle connected to Muhammad is the Quran” – which also indirectly admits that Muhammad was not a prophet (a real prophesy is a kind of a miracle – to see what has not happened yet – and Muhammad did not even claim he had that gift)).
For more claims similar to 65/11 and 30/9, see f.x.: 2/118 – 2/159 – 2/185 – 2/187 – 2/213 – 2/219 – 2/221 – 2/242 – 2/266 – 3/86 – 3/105 – 3/183 – 3/184 – 6/57- 157 – 7/73 – 7/85 – 7/101 – 8/42 – 9/70 – 10/15 – 11/17 - 11/28 -11/53 – 11/63 – 11/88 – 14/9 – 19/73 – 20/133 – 22/16 – 22/72 – 24/1 – 24/58 – 24/59 – 24/61 – 30/47 – 32/25 – 34/43 – 40/22 - 40/28 - 40/50 – 40/66 – 40/83 46/7 – 45/17 – 45/25 – 57/25 – 58/5 – 64/6. Also see 2/39a – 30/10 – 65/11 + 2/299a - 2/299b .
017 30/10a: "In the long run evil in the extreme will be the End of those who do evil - - -". A lot of what the Islamic moral code permits or even advices are evil, even though Muslims are unable to see it because they are imprinted from infancy that it is good and right and even laudable. The only really acceptable "constitution" to build moral rules and codes on is: "Do against others like you want others do against you". Many of the Islamic moral/immoral rules and even a number of sharia laws conflicts - sometimes brutally - with such a constitution. Which means Muslims often do evil - and obviously things like stealing/robbing, suppression, raping, enslaving, lying, murdering, etc. are bad thing - it is obvious to see when you only think it over ever so little. It should be even more obvious when done in the name of a presumably good and benevolent god. And far more distasteful and repulsive.
But many (most?) Muslims are unable to see the horror and sins and injustice they are performing partly because they are imprinted that this is "lawful and good" and just and laudable in the eyes of Allah, partly because their great idol - Muhammad - in reality on many points had an awful ideology and immoral, and partly because Allah speaks nice words but demands horror and acts horribly and immoral in many ways - the typical war god serving warlords well - and like even children most Muslims learn more from what is demanded and done than from nice words. But they also believe the nice words are true in spite of what deeds, demands, introduced rules, etc. tell is the reality. Unbelievable for people trained in critical thinking, but true.
The conclusion to this is the fact that much of what the Quran wants or permits Muslims to do, very obviously is evil. What will then their end really be if there is a second life? - not to mention what will it be if Allah is a made up god - a real possibility as the Quran with all its mistakes, etc, obviously is not from a god - but there all the same is a god and a paradise and a hell? With their partly sick moral codes they have to hope that this god is not a good and benevolent one.
018 30/10d: "- - - do evil - - -". Beware that when the Quran uses expressions like this, it is in accordance with its own partly immoral moral code.
019 30/10f: “- - - Signs of Allah - - -“. No omniscient and omnipotent god had used strongly suspect “signs”, etc. to prove himself, not to mention added his name for strengthening the claim. See also 2/39 just above. Similar claims in 3/41 - 7/146 – 7/176x2 – 7/177 – 9/65 – 10/71 – 10/95 – 14/5 – 22/37 – 23/105 - 26/15 – 27/52 – 27/81 – 27/82 – 27/83 – 27/84 – 28/35 – 28/36 – 28/45 – 28/59 – 29/49 – 30/21 - 31/31 – 31/32 – 40/81 – 54/42 – 57/19 – 64/10 – 74/16. Also see 2/39 just above and 65/11 – 30/9 - 2/99a - 2/99b below.
This kind of a man is the only source Islam is built on.
Can this be the Right Religion?
020 30/11c: "It is Allah Who begins (the process of) creation; then repeats it (resurrection*) - - -". Contradicted by the Bible, which tells - and if the old books tell the truth, proves - that it is Yahweh who does this, not Allah. Also see 67/9c below - a strong one. But of course it is ok for Islam to prove - prove - the Bible wrong and the Quran right. But as we say: Prove, not just loose claims and as loose and invalid words like the Quran always use instead of proofs.
021 30/11d: "- - - then shall ye (people*) be brought back to Him (Allah - for a second life*)". Often claimed, never proved. And a claim any priest in any religion can make on behalf of his religion as long as he evades all requests for proofs.
022 30/12c: "- - - guilt - - -". Beware that when the Quran uses words like this, it is in accordance with its own partly immoral moral code. Thus things which may be laudable in normal religions - f.x. not to kill - at times may be reasons for guilt in Islam, and the other way around.
023 30/13a: "No intercessor will they (non-Muslims*) have among their "Partners" (other gods than Allah*) - - -". But the recurring and recurring question which the Quran never answers with anything but invalid claims and as invalid statements is: Is Allah any better? There never was anything proved, only not documented words.
024 30/15c: "- - - righteous - - -". Beware that when words like this are used in the Quran, it is meant in accordance with the books own partly immoral moral code.
025 30/15d: "(In Paradise good Muslims*) shall be happy in a Mead of Delight". This "Mead of Delight" is described for ca. 1/3 of the population; the adult men. For women and children little is told. But adult men will experience pleasant weather and shade, peace, nothing to do and no work, high luxury and plenty of sex. This might be the ultimate dream for poor and primitive desert warriors, but is this really the best an omniscient and omnipotent god can do? Such a life f.x. must be extremely boring in the long run. And the contrast to Yahweh's paradise is striking: "(You*) will be like the angels in heaven". (f.x. Matt.22/30). Yahweh and Allah the same god? Only the difference in their paradises proves beyond any reasonable and unreasonable doubt that this is not the case. And then there are all the other differences proving the same in addition.
PS: Also women and children will end in Paradise if they qualify, but their existence there is little described.
026 30/16c: "- - - falsely denied Our (Allah's*) Signs - - -". It is not possible to deny falsely when no such real signs/proofs exist. A lot is claimed - a cheap technique - but nothing is proved.
027 30/16d: "- - - falsely denied Our (Allah's*) Signs and the meeting of the Hereafter - - -". Like everything else in the Quran this just are undocumented claims any priest - yes, any believer - can make on behalf of his religion free of charge, as long as he can evade all questions for proofs. And Muhammad never proved anything about Allah or about his own connection to a god. Never one single thing.
028 30/17a: "So (give) glory to Allah - - -". But does he deserve it? (- if he exists?) See 1/1a above.
029 30/17b: "So (give) glory to Allah, when ye (Muslims*) reach eventide and when ye raise in the morning". We are back to the regular prayers of Islam. This demand for regular prayers - 5 times a day - was so essential for Allah (he even wanted more often according to Hadiths) that it became one of the 5 "pillars" of Islam. For Yahweh such formalism was so totally without any interest, that no similar rule - not even the idea - at all is mentioned in the entire Bible: Pray when there is a reason or a need or a wish. One of the 100% proofs for that Yahweh and Allah are not the same god. Also see 23/9b above.
030 30/18a: "To Him (Allah*) be praise - - -". But does he deserve it? (- if he exists?) See 1/1a above.
031 30/19a: "It is He (Allah*) who brings out the living - - -." Glorifying Allah for a natural phenomenon never proved to be his making - like so often in the Quran. Also see 11/7a and 21/56c above.
032 30/19b: "- - - (Allah*) gives life to the earth after it is dead - - -". See 30/19a just above.
033 30/19c: "- - - and thus shall ye (people*) be brought out (from the dead)". Often claimed, never proved - and as so often just a claim any priest in any religion can make on behalf of his religion. If the old books tell the truth, Yahweh at least proved things - Allah (Muhammad?) only had claims and as invalid words. Also see 7/158i above.
#034 30/20a: “Among His (Allah’s*) Signs is this, that He created you from dust - - -”. Wrong. Man was not created from dust - really he was not created at all according to science. See 6/2b above. There is an extra irony in the fact that the Quran uses a piece of wrong information to “prove” Allah. Contradiction of reality - and of the Quran, as the book also tells Adam was created many different ways. Also: Muhammad claims most things for the glory of his god - but he never has anything but words and claims. And see 21/56c above.
035 30/20b: “- - - His (Allah's*) Signs - - -.” Invalid as proof for Allah as long as it is not proved it really was Allah who did it. See 2/39b above.
#036 30/20c: “Among His (Allah’s*) Signs is this, that He (Allah*) created for you mates - - -". Some sign. See 30/20a above.
037 30/22a: “And among His (Allah’s) Signs is the creation of the heavens (plural and wrong') - - -“. Very clearly a wrong proof – a wrong “sign” – as there are no 7 heavens. Irony? At least a contradiction of reality. See 21/56c above.
038 30/22b: “And among His (Allah’s) Signs is the creation of the heavens (plural and wrong*) and the earth - - -". A totally invalid argument as long as it is not showed that it really is Allah who created it. See 2/39b and 21/56c.
039 30/22c: "- - - creation - - -". We must admit we find Muhammad's claims for that Allah is the creator interesting, as Allah never was able to prove such power, and all the same use the claim about such power as a "proof" for Allah. And also because in contrast to Allah, Yahweh proved his power - - - if the old books tell the truth.
040 30/23a: “And among His (Allah’s) Signs is the sleep - - -". See 11/7a above.
041 30/23d: "- - - verily - - -". It definitely is no proved verity/truth. See 2/2b above.
042 30/24a: “And among His (Allah’s) Signs, He shows you the lightning - - -". Invalid as sign as long as it is not proved it is Allah who makes them - claims are cheap.
043 30/24d: "- - - He (Allah*) sends down rain - - -". See 11/7a above.
044 30/24e: “- - - (Allah*) gives life to the earth (by means of water*) after it is dead: verily, in that are Signs for those who are wise”. As soon as dry earth gets water and the other necessities, roots and seeds automatically start growing - god or no god. There is no proof in this for anything but that nature is resilient. Anyone who is wise will demand proofs before believing anything else. And again some flattery of the reader at the end.
045 30/25a: “And among His (Allah’s*) Signs is this, that heaven and the earth stand by His Command - - -”. A most easy statement, as long as Muhammad refused to prove anything at all - f.x. that heaven and/or Earth stands at Allah's command. Invalid claim. Totally invalid proof.
046 30/25d: "- - - when He (Allah*) calls you (a human*), by a single call, from the earth (your grave*), behold, ye (straightaway) come forth". This is about the resurrection. Muhammad often claims in the Quran that Allah will resurrect everybody. But there never was anything but loose words and as loose claims - neither Allah nor Muhammad ever was able to prove one millimeter any of the central claims of Muhammad.
047 30/26a: “To Him (Allah*) belongs every being that is in heavens (plural and wrong*) and on earth - - -". Often claimed - by Muhammad and by many other religions - but never proved.
048 30/26c: “- - - all (beings*) are devotedly obedient to Him (Allah*).” Wrong. No non-Muslim is devotedly obedient to Allah. And no Muslim sinner is devotedly obedient to any god. Islam further will have to prove that also all non-human beings, included worms and slugs and insects and microbes - are devotedly obedient to him. Yes, they will even have to prove that all believing Muslims are devotedly obedient to him.
049 30/27a: "It is He (Allah*) Who begins (the process of) creation - - -". One of the very many never proved claims in the Quran. Had only some - or even most - been claims and at least a little been proved, this could have been acceptable. But nothing at all is proved, even though it should be easy for Allah (even according to the Quran) to prove at least some. The ones who have to rely on loose claims and even looser words - and perhaps bluffs? - normally are the cheaters, the deceivers, and the swindlers. Also see 21/56c above.
050 30/27c: "To Him (Allah*) belongs everything that is in the heavens (plural and wrong*) and on earth - - -". Often claimed, never proved. The same claim can be made of any believer in any religion, as long as he is able to flee from all requests for proofs. Also see 11/7a and 30/27a above.
051 30/27e: "- - - He (Allah*) is Exalted in Might - - -". A might he in case never has proved.
052 30/27f: "- - - (Allah is*) - - - Full of Wisdom." Not if he has made the Quran - far too much is wrong.
053 30/28a: “- - - do ye (Muslims*) have partners among those your right hand possess, to share as equals in the wealth We (Allah*) have bestowed on you? Do you fear them as ye fear each other?” Oh, no - Muslims do not. Arabia was a to a degree a slave society, and slaves for one thing got little part in the riches of the Master, and for another were too suppressed to be of any danger - and for a third all the imported slave women made the mixture named Arabs an even less pure race. A fitting similitude for Muslims?
A thought provoking piece of mathematics: Millions of slave women were imported from black Africa for Arab harems. And they were forced to have children. If on average one deciliter of a person's some 5 liters of blood comes from such women imported over the centuries, this means that Arabs are 2% Negroes. If 2 deciliter 4%. And then there are the slave women from other places. Perhaps 2% Jews?
054 30/28c: "Thus do We (Allah*) explain the Signs in detail - - -". This does not refer to any sign at all. But it refers to a similitude in the first part of the verse - and the only possible way of understanding the claimed explanation, is that humans are the slaves of Allah (this actually is made understood more places in the Quran). There is nowhere in the Bible made a direct comparison between Yahweh and humans, but it is clear they are not his slaves - clearly inferior underlings, but not slaves. One more indication for that Yahweh and Allah are not the same god.
055 30/29a: "- - - the wrongdoers (merely) follow their own lust - - -". Slandering opponents is no new invention - Muhammad practiced it much (see f.x. all his "names" for non-Muslims - all of them negative or worse). Also remember that when the Quran uses words like this, it is in accordance with its own partly immoral moral code
056 30/29g: "But who will guide those whom Allah leaves astray?" One more difference between Islam and Christianity: Allah leaves people astray, and he even makes it difficult or impossible for many to find again Allah or even find the road to Heaven - for some he according to the Hadiths blocks it already 5 months before they are born. God/Yahweh according to Jesus and NT always wants to welcome them back - even the worst ones - if there is honest regret. Read f.x. about "the lost sheep" (f.x. Matt. 18/12-14) and "the 11. hour" (f ex. Matt. 20/1-16). Another indication for that Yahweh and Allah are not the same god - and Jesus and Muhammad not in the same religion.
057 30/29h: "But who will guide those whom Allah leaves astray?" Perhaps Yahweh? - at least the ones believing in him - - - if he exists (but there is a slightly better chance for that he exists, as some things are proved if the old books tell the truth about this, than for that Allah exists - the chance for that Allah exists is practically zero, and if he all the same do exist, the chance for that he lives and behaves according to a book full of errors, etc., is once more practically zero of the first practically zero).
058 30/29j: "To them (non-Muslims*) there will be no helpers". This will be true only if the Quran tells the full and only truth - it should be unnecessary to point to that this is not the case in a book as full of wrong facts and other errors as the Quran, and that on top of all no god ever was involved in a book as full of mistakes, etc. as the Quran. The claim in the verse also is not true if the god(s) some non-Muslims believe in, really exist(s) - f.x. Yahweh.
PS: And what about helpers to Muslims if the Quran is a made up book? - remember that there is no god behind it.
##059 30/30d: “- - - no change (let there be) in the work (wrought) by Allah: that (Islam*) is the standard Religion - - -”. No “standard” religion can be based on a book with so many obvious mistakes. And hopefully no “standard” religion can be based on distaste, apartheid, hate, suppression and blood. (This paragraph is one of the reasons why Islam states - or pretend - that the Quran is perfect, and why Islam can admit not even the most obvious mistakes - all mistakes must be “explained” away, because there can be no change (and of course nothing wrong) in Allah’s work – the Quran. Another cause of course is that as Allah is omniscient he simply cannot make mistakes, so mistakes proves he is not omniscient and/or that something is wrong with Islam).
###It is doubtful to explain away errors and other dark spots - they may indicate something. And when one has to "explain" away hundreds and more of mistakes, contradictions, etc. one should start to think - no omniscient god is that often wrong or that helpless expressing himself
060 30/30e: "- - - (Islam*) is the standard Religion - - -”. The Quran claims that it is the original and natural - and standard - religion on Earth. We think we had better not comment on this - except that not even Islam has found any trace of a religion like Islam older than 610 AD. To be polite: It is a bluff.
Also see 30/30d just above.
061 30/30f: "- - - (Islam*) is the standard Religion - - -”. Comment (A30/27): "The term "fitrah", rendered by me as "natural disposition" (Yusuf Ali translates it with "standard (religion*)"), connotes in this context man's inborn, intuitive ability to discern between right and wrong, true and false, and thus to sense Allah's existence and oneness". ###This is bullshit - and the reason why we do not use stronger words, is politeness.
Man - a baby - may be has an inborn, but vague feeling for that things may be right and wrong, fair and unfair, good and bad. But mind you we say vague. The rules and norms for this have to be learned. This means it is exactly the opposite of the Islamic claim here - that man is born with correct knowledge about this, which is blunted and bent and destroyed by parents and others to adjust it to their norms.
Further: But man definitely has no inborn feeling - even not a vague one - for knowing the difference between true and false. This is something the baby and child and youth has to learn, partly on basis of getting enough knowledge about this and that to be able to see what may be correct and what not, and partly by means of training in evaluating such cases - training in what often is called "critical thinking" (training in combining new information with what you know from before, and weigh facts, claims, etc. against one another to find out what can be true and not true). It is thought provoking that schools in Muslim area give little such training. This again is thought provoking on the background that science has found that 3. generation and later Muslims living in western countries, which give good such training, to a marked degree starts losing interest in Islam (scientific research published in May 2010, mentioned even on radio/TV).
Finally: The claimed inborn ability to "sense Allah's existence and oneness" is scientific gobbledygook. The same goes for the other claim in the same comment: "- - - the 'natural disposition' which, by definition, consists of man's instinctive cognition of Allah and self-surrender (Islam) to Him". To say this with plainer Muslim words you may meet now and then: "All babies are born Muslims, but the religion is corrupted by parents and others to their own religion." This has exactly nothing to do with what is known about such things. There simply exists no "instinctive knowledge about religion" - Muslim or other. Everything a person knows about religion, is things he/she has learnt. Science has found a longing for something strong to lean on - a religion - in a minor percent of the population. They even have found at least one gene giving tendency for such longing (they stumbled across it while doing cancer research a few years ago). But there is a long distance between a vague longing and knowledge.
####This comment by Muhammad Azad simply is his repeating of one of Islam's tries to get around the lack of documentation for Allah and for Islam combined with a need for such. They construct things/claims like "instinctive knowledge about Allah and/or Islam", "self-evident claims or 'facts' about Allah and/or Islam", "requests for proofs for Allah, Islam, Muhammad's connection to a god or for Muhammad's reliability and/or integrity, shows lack of intellectual ability", and more statements and claims along that street. Islam has not one single proof for anything of this, and needs arguments, and in a religion and a culture where al-Taqiyya (the lawful lie), Kitman (the lawful half-truth), Hilah (the lawful pretending/circumventing), deceit and even the broken word/promise/oat (2/225,5/89, 16/91, 66/2), etc. are incorporated, it does not matter too much if the claims are true or not, as long as it may sound convincing at least for the naive ones, the uneducated ones, the wishful thinkers, etc. In the old times Muslims scholars may even have believed in such wishful self-delusions, but with the knowledge international science has about such things today, arguments like this are dishonesty, as any Muslim scholar today knows the truth or at least has no excuse for not checking on his claims and finding it (well, the god-longing gene and the reduced interest in Islam by 3. and later generations Muslims in the West, is so new knowledge, that some of them may be excused for not knowing just this when this is written in 2010 AD).
######There only is one possible polite remark to claims like the ones Islam makes here: Scientific gobbledygook combined with al-Taqiyya.
#062 30/30g: “- - - no change (let there be) in the work (wrought) by Allah: that (Islam*) is the standard Religion: But most among mankind understand not”. The impolite, but most pertinent, question is: May be it is really the non-Muslims who have understood? - understood that something may be very wrong.
063 30/31a: "Turn ye (people/Muslims*) back in repentance to Him (Allah*), and fear him - - -". Well, perhaps there is a reason for fearing him, as he is a harsh god - - - but only if he exists and really is a god. (That is to say: If he belongs to the dark forces, there really may be a reason for fearing him.)
064 30/31b: "- - - regular prayers - - -".
065 30/31d: "- - - join no gods with Allah - - -". But is Allah in reality any better? He has never proved his power. He has never proved even his existence. There only are loose claims and even looser words - and in all other aspects of life one often and easily are cheated if one believes blindly in such words. In the Quran on top of all is told only by a man of doubtful moral and reliability (why do you think it is so essential for Islamic clergy/scholars to tell and claim and claim he is nearly a saint? - simply because he in reality is the very weak point in Islam. And similar goes for the demand for blind faith: Nothing is proved and much is proved wrong - you have to have blind faith not to ask difficult questions.) Besides see 25/18a above.
066 30/34a: "- - - the (favors We (Allah*) have bestowed on them (some people*) - - -". The dispiriting fact here is that in the entire history and prehistory there is not proved one single case of Allah bestowing favors on anybody. There are lots of claims, but not one proved case (if there had been, Islam had told about it through loud-speakers).
067 30/35a: "Or have We (Allah*) sent down authority to them (non-Muslims*) which points out to them the things (false gods*) to which they pay part-worship". But the very fundamental question is: Does Allah exist, and in case he does: Does he really have the power to send authority of any kind? This simply is one more of the classical Islamic way of debating: "What we say is the truth and does not need verification - so we can make claims on basis of that". But the claims are 100% invalid, as long as the underlying claimed facts are not proved (not to mention when they are proved doubtful or even wrong).
###Also note Muhammad's technique: He pretends Allah is a fact, so that no proofs are necessary. You meet this and similar techniques legion places in the Quran.
068 30/36a: "- - - Mercy - - -". See 1/1a and 2/2b above.
069 30/37a: “See they not that Allah enlarges the provision and restricts it, to whomsoever He pleases? Verily, in that are Signs for those who believe”. There are signs of Allah in the fact that some are rich, some are poor and some are directly in distress? Islam must prove that no other explanations for riches and poverty are possible - f.x hard work, education, knowledge, intelligence, etc. Without such proofs first, these presumed signs are invalid as proofs.(This also is the Quran's standard and easy explanation for why some have a good life and others not: Allah's unfathomable decisions).
070 30/40a: "It is Allah Who has created you - - -". See 6/2b, 11/7a and 21/56c above.
071 30/40c: "It is Allah Who has created you: further He has provided for your sustenance; then He will cause you to die - - -". See f.x. 30/27b above.
072 30/40f: "Are there any of your (non-Muslims') 'Partners' who can do a single one of these things?" This is not the central question here. The central question here is: Is Allah able to do it, or is everything just words? Neither Allah nor Muhammad has ever produced one single proof about anything of consequence: Is it bluff or reality?
073 30/40g: "Glory to Him (Allah*)!". See 1/1a above and see if he deserves it.
074 30/40h: "And High is He (Allah*) above the partners they (non-Muslims) attribute (to Him)!" At least this is the Quran's claim - but a never proved claim, like most claims in the Quran. Any priest in any religion easily can claim just the same about his god(s) if claims are all which is needed.
075 30/41b: "- - - that (Allah) may give them - - -". Like always in the Quran in such cases: A nice claim - never a proof. Words are cheap.
076 30/41c: "- - - (- - - Evil)". Beware that when the Quran uses words like this, it is in accordance with its own partly immoral moral code.
#077 30/42b: “Travel through the earth and see what was the End of those before you (non-Muslims*) - - -.” In the Middle East there were ruins here and there. Muhammad claimed they all were from people punished because they were non-Muslims and sinners. In an arid and harsh area populated by warring and feuding tribes, there were many other reasons for empty houses. Islam will have to provide strong proofs for the claim that they all were result of religious disbelief, if they want to be believed on this point. And especially if they want to keep up the claim that it was because the claimed sinners had left Allah and Islam - a religion of which there is not one single trace even in the cultural cradle and literate time of the Middle East. (###A curiosum here: Islam claims there are written proofs for the old tribes the Quran tells about - but no word about anything like Islam, anywhere, even from much younger times.)
#078 30/43a: “- - - the right Religion (Islam*) - - -”. Is it possible that the right religion can be based on a book with that many mistakes, contradictions, unclear language, invalid logic, etc. repeated or made by an Arab salesman, highwayman, murderer (he let opponents and others murder - the number 26 is mentioned, Ibn Ishaq names 10), torturer and rapist (he - at an age of nearly 60 - at least raped the newlywed, 17 year old Safijja after he had let her husband Kinana be tortured to death, and Rayhana bint Amr after he had murdered the male part of her family and made the rest slaves.) Source for this information: Muhammad Ibn Ishaq: “Life of the Prophet Muhammad” - the in Islam most respected of the old (dead 768 AD) writers about Muhammad. (It was written for the second Abbasside caliph in Baghdad, Mansur, around 750 AD). Neither Arab salesmen, nor highwaymen, nor torturers, nor murderers, nor rapists have the best of reputations for being honest (this even if Islam insists he was, but Islam hardly is the most reliable source on just that point - if he was not honest, Islam is a made up religion, so Islam HAS to make him look honest and saintly. The irony here is that also Islam admits that Muhammad used dishonesty in words and deeds.) This Arab salesman, highwayman, torturer, murderer and rapist and inhuman warlord, was even unable to produce one single small proof for his story. But he (?) produced lots of loose statements and invalid “signs” and “proofs”. Similar claim in 12/40. And what about his institutionalizing al-Taqiyya (the lawful lie) and Kitman (the lawful half-truth), etc., by his example, and his telling (in Hadiths and in the Quran) that even oaths can be broken - is that part of the right religion?
And: He is the only source Islam is built on.
Can this be "the Right Religion"?
079 30/44b: "Those who reject Faith will suffer from that rejection - - -". Only if the Quran has told the full truth and only the truth about this, and only if Allah in addition exists and is a major god.
080 30/44e: "- - - work righteousness - - -". Beware that when the Quran uses words like this, it is in accordance with its own partly immoral moral code.
081 30/44f: "- - - (good Muslims*) will spread their couch (of repose) for themselves (in heaven)". Only if the Quran has told the full truth and only the truth about this, and only if Allah in addition exists and is a major god.
082 30/45c: "- - - work righteous deeds- - -". Beware that when the Quran uses expressions like this, it is in accordance with its own partly immoral moral code.
083 30/45d: "- - - out of His (Allah's*) Bounty." Everything anyone gets in this life, comes out of Allah's bounty - at least according to the Quran.
084 30/45e: For He (Allah*) loves not those who reject Faith". One more deep difference between the Quran and NT: According to the Bible Jesus and Yahweh loves every human being and tries to give them the chance for salvation till the very end (f.x. Luke 15/8-10 + 15/11-31 and Matt. 18/12-14 + 20/8/13). Allah loves the Muslims only.
085 30/46a: “- - - His (Allah's*) Signs - - -.” Invalid as proof for Allah. See 2/39b above.
086 30/46b: "- - - He (Allah*) sends the Winds - - -". See f.x. 11/7a and 30/27a above.
087 30/46c: “- - - Glad Tidings - - -“. Glad tidings in just this case mean rain. But rain is glad tidings only in dry places. Was Allah only a god for (some) dry places, or was he unable to find universal glad tidings?
088 30/46f: "- - - seek of His (Allah's*) Bounty." Everything anyone gets in this life, comes out of Allah's bounty - at least according to the Quran.
#089 30/47b: “We (Allah*) did indeed send, before thee (Muhammad*), messengers to the (respective) peoples - - -”. The Quran tells there were sent prophets by Allah too all peoples throughout the times - the Hadith (the second main “pillar” of “knowledge” about Islam) mention 124ooo, and even that may even be only a symbolic number. But neither in archaeology, nor in architecture (temples or stones reused for buildings f.x.), nor in literature, nor history, nor folklore, nor even in fairy tales are there the slightest traces from those prophets. That so many prophets should leave not even a whisper of a trace - flatly no. And especially so when you see what only 2 (claimed?) prophets - Jesus and Muhammad - resulted in. It is not possible that not at least some out of 124ooo left traces.
Islam claims there are inscriptions and words in old scriptures proving the old Arab tribes the Quran mentions - this even to a degree likely is true. BUT THERE NOWHERE IS AN INSCRIPTION OR A WORD IN AN OLD SCRIPTURE MENTIONING A RELIGION LIKE ISLAM, A GOD LIKE THE MONOTHEISTIC GOD ALLAH,OR A BOOK SIMILAR TO ISLAM.
A reason for thinking?
090 30/47c: “We did indeed send, before thee (Muhammad*), messengers to their (respective) peoples - - -.” It is generally an accepted fact – among clergy and science alike, that Abraham was a stranger to Canaan, Lot (a prophet according to the Quran) a stranger to Sodom and Gomorrah, Jonah was a stranger to Nineveh, the town to which he was sent. Joseph was a stranger in Egypt, and Moses a stranger in Sinai when he fled from Egypt. Most prophets worked among their own people, but in contradiction to the Quran's words, not all.
091 30/47e: “- - - Clear Signs - - -“. See 2/39b and 2/99 above.
092 30/47g: "- - - We (Allah*) meted out Retribution - - -". See 3/77b above.
093 30/47h: "- - - it was due from Us (Allah*) to aid those who believed". The embarrassing fact is that no such aid has ever been proved given. Many claims, but not one single proved one - just ask Islam if there is a proved case.
####094 30/48b: “- - - then does He (Allah*) spread them (the clouds*) in the sky as he wills, and break them into fragments, until thou seest raindrops issue from the midst thereof - - -”. It is not possible to get it more wrong than this. What happens is not that the clouds break apart to raindrops, but straight opposite: That droplets come together to form drops. No further comments. But ANY god had known better. Then who made the Quran? Also see 16/65 – 25/49 – 30/24 – 36/33 – 50/11.
095 30/50a: "- - - Allah's Mercy - - -". Once more: Read the surahs from Medina, the black sides of Islamic code of moral, and the unjust points in sharia laws, and see how far you agree.
096 30/50b: "- - - He (Allah*) gives life to the earth after its death - - -". In this case Muhammad refers to the desert coming alive after rain. But is it Allah who produces the rain? - or nature? - or some other god? Besides this phenomenon you only find in dry area - any god knows all kinds of areas and had used a more universally understandable picture. But Muhammad mainly knew dry area. One more thing: If water is all it takes to make the area flourish, it was not dead, it just looked so - it was alive with seeds and roots.
097 30/50c: "- - - verily - - -". It definitely is no proved verity/truth. See 2/2b above.
098 30/50d: "- - - verily, the Same (Allah*) will give life to the men who are dead - - -". See 7/158i above.
099 30/50e: "- - - He (Allah*) has power over all things". We have not counted, but we think similar claims are to be found at least 100 places in the Quran alone. But not one single place inside or outside the Quran do you find even the smallest real proof for this claim. No place and never in all history or prehistory.
100 30/52a: "So, verily, thou (Muhammad*) canst not make the dead to hear, nor canst thou make the deaf hear the call - - -". The reason why non-Muslims do not believe Muhammad, is that they are dead of deaf. It was better to slander the opponents, than to admit there might be rationale reasons for their disbelief.
101 30/53a: "Nor canst thou (Muhammad*) lead the blind (the ones refusing to believe in Muhammad*) back from their straying (and to Islam*)". Non-Muslims = blind. But who is most blind; the one able to see, but who is accused of being blind, or the one refusing to see?
102 30/53b: "- - - those - - - who believe in Our (Allah's*) signs - - -". Muslims. But this sentence tells something when you know there does not exist one single sign anywhere clearly proving Allah - or for that case Muhammad's connection to a god. (If one had existed, be you sure Islam and its Muslims all had told you about it).
##103 30/53d: "- - - (Good Muslims*) submit (their wills in Islam (and to Muhammad*))". Well and good - but as the Quran with all its mistakes and worse is not from any god, what then is Muhammad and Islam? - and to what then - except to leaders on Earth - do Muslims submit their wills?
104 30/54a: "It is Allah who created you - - -". See f.x. 6/2b, 11/7a, 21/56c or 30/27a above.
105 30/54b: "- - - He (Allah*) creates as He wills - - -". See 11/7a, 21/56c and 7/158i above.
106 30/54e: "- - - it is He (Allah*) Who have all knowledge and power". Contradicted by the Bible, which tells that this belongs to Yahweh, not to Allah. Also see 67/9c below - a strong one. But of course it is ok for Islam to prove - prove - the Bible wrong and the Quran right. But as we say: Prove, not just loose claims and as loose and invalid words like the Quran always use instead of proofs.
107 30/54f: "- - - it is He (Allah*) Who have all - - - power". See f.x. 30/27e above.
108 30/55d: "- - - thus were they (non-Muslims*) used to being deluded!" This is a claim. But as the Quran is not from a god, the serious question is: Who are in reality deluded?
###109 30/56d: (YA3574): "The men of knowledge and faith knew all along of the true values - - -". Wrong, because man often is led astray by popular idea, old ways of thinking, etc. There are good values which are reckoned to be good. There are good values which are reckoned to be bad. There are things with no real value which may be reckoned in one religion or culture to be bad and in others to be good. And not least there are negative values which may be reckoned to be good. In Islam you will find a number of such wrongly evaluated values - not least of bad values reckoned to be good. Search f.x. in Islam's moral code, ethical code, war code, and in sharia, and you will find a number of negative values claimed to be good ones (and honestly believed to be good ones by many Muslims, because "everyone" tell them so). Just compare "do onto others what you want others do onto you" - the basis for all inter-human moral - with the mentioned codes and the sharia, and you will find a number of cases. And then there are all the other cases.
110 30/58a: "Verily - - -". It definitely is no proved verity/truth. See 2/2b above.
111 30/58c: “- - - Sign - - -.” Invalid as proof for Allah. See 2/39b above.
112 30/58e: "Ye (Muhammad*) do nothing but talk vanities". When you look at all the mistakes, etc. in the Quran: May be this statement is the truth?
113 30/59a: "Thus does Allah seal up the hearts of those who understand not (non-Muslims*)". They shall not have the chance to understand. No further comments. But guess if this is different from "the lost sheep" and others in the NT! Yahweh and Allah the same god? - no answer necessary.
114 30/59c: "- - - those who understand not". The dark and sinister question here is: Is it in reality they who understood and understand? The fact that the Quran with all its errors, etc. is not from a god makes this a dark possibility.
115 30/60b: "- - - verily - - -". It definitely is no proved verity/truth. See 2/2b above.
116 30/60c: “- - - the promise of Allah is true - - -“. The promises of Allah are expressed via Muhammad and the Quran. The first was a man of highly suspect morality according to his words and deeds told in the Quran and other Islamic religious and historical literature (the Quran, Hadiths, and Ibn Ishaq to mention the most central ones). The second is a book dictated by that man, and containing huge numbers of mistakes, contradictions, twisted arguments, twisted logic, inhuman ethics and moral, etc., etc. Islam will have to bring real proofs to be believed – and Islam has until now been unable to prove anything fundamental - - - they instead insist on and glorify naïve blind belief. Also see 16/38 - 32/9 - 35/5 – 40/77 – 46/17.
It also is a fact that there never was a proved case of Allah even giving a promise, not to mention keeping one. Many claims, but not one proved case. The best proof for this is that if one single such case had ever happened, Islam had screamed about it. Nobody has heard such a scream.
5162 + 116 = 5278 remarks.
Not formed like questions for proofs, but what needs to be proved normally easy to see all the same. And: References you do not find here, go to "1000+ Comments on the Quran".
